Editorial policy

Croatia Filipino News publishes clear, source-based explanations of Croatian news, local politics, culture and practical matters for Filipinos living and working in Croatia. It is the sister edition of Croatia Nepal News and follows the same editorial rules.

How we work

Every article is built from published Croatian reporting (at least two outlets where possible) and the relevant official source, rewritten in our own words. Each source is credited and linked at the foot of the article. We do not reproduce whole articles, quote more than short phrases, or use paywalled material.

AI-assisted tools support research and drafting. Each article passes a separate fact check against its sources before it is published: numbers, dates, names and rules must match. Single-source figures are labelled as such. If something cannot be verified, we do not publish it.

Immigration, tax, legal and health topics

Articles on permits, tax, law or health are general information, not advice on your individual case. We point readers to the competent office — MUP (police administration), Porezna uprava, HZZO, HZZ, the Philippine Embassy in Vienna or the Migrant Workers Office — and recommend checking your own situation with them.

Fairness

We do not take political sides. When we explain Croatian politics, we describe what was decided, who proposed what and what it means for residents. In reports on crime or incidents we do not identify private individuals, victims or minors, and we never single out nationalities.

Photos

We use only freely licensed photos from Wikimedia Commons (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA or public domain), credited with author and licence. A photo is never reused on this site or on Croatia Nepal News.

Corrections, sponsorship and privacy

If we get something wrong, we fix it and add a dated “Correction:” line at the end of the article. Reader contributions are moderated before publication. Sponsored material, if any, will be clearly labelled. Visits may be counted with privacy-friendly analytics (Umami, Cloudflare Web Analytics) that use no cookies and collect no personal data. There is no advertising tracking on this site.
